Sunday, September 25, 2011இலங்கைப் பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளர் திரு.கோடாபய ராஜபக்ஷவின் வழிகாட்டளின்கீழும் இலங்கை கடற்படை உயரதிகாரிகளின் வழி நாடாத்தளிலும் பிரமாண்டமான முறையில் ஏற்பாடுசெய்யப்பட்டிருந்த இலங்கை - இந்திய கடற்படையினரின் கூட்டுப்பயிற்சி நேற்று (செப்.-23) வெற்றிகரமாக நிறைவு பெற்றது.
இக் கூட்டுப்பயிற்சியின் இருதி நாள் செயற்பாடுகளை பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளர் திரு.கோடாபய ராஜபக்ஷ, இலங்கைக்கான இந்தி உயர் ஸ்தானிகர் அசேக் கே காந்தா மற்றும் இலங்கைக் கடற்படைத் தளபதி வைஸ் அத்மிரால் சோமதிலக திஸானாயக ஆகியோர் இந்தியக் கப்பலான ஐ.என்.எஸ் ஷிவாளிக் இல் இருந்து கண்டுகழித்தனர்.
மேலும் இக் கூட்டுப்பயிற்சியின் இருதி நாள் செயற்பாடுகளை பல இலங்கை இந்திய கடற்படை உயரதிகாரிகளும் நேரில் பார்வையிட்டனர்
SLINEX -II" joint fleet exercise concluded!
SLINEX-II "the largest joint fleet exercise between the Indian and Sri Lankan Navies, conducted in Sri Lanka, which was held under the guidance of the Secretary of Defence of Sri Lanka and the directives of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, concluded successfully on 23rd September 2011.
The events of the final day were witnessed by the Secretary of Defense Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka His Excellency Ashok K Kantha and Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake who came onboard the Indian Naval frigate, INS Shivalik.
Commander Eastern Naval Area (COMEAST) Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage, Director General Naval Operations of the Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera and Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF) of the Indian Navy Rear Admiral HCS Bisht were also onboard directing the final day's activities which involved SKBDL, RAS and Asymmetric Threat Exercises.
