Sunday, November 06, 2011Major General Conant (next Deputy Director of US Pacific Command) paid a courtesy call on Secretary Defence Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa today, (04 Nov) at the Ministry.
The Purpose of the meeting is to discuss the current and future of military engagements and looking into possibilities where PACOM can best assist in the process.
Deputy Assistance Secretary of Defence Scher, Lieutenant Colonel Jernigan (PACOM Desk Officer for Sri Lanka and Defence Attach‚ Lieutenant Colonel Schuler were also present at the occasion.
