Thursday, September 08, 2011Unfolding LTTE actions and atrocities ‘Behind the Curtain’ today brings to light how Velupillai Prabhakaran brain washed and hand picked male and female cadres for suicide missions.
Hitherto undisclosed reports of the LTTE states that Pottu Amman was given the responsibility of hand picking suicide cadres. Most of the hand picked suicide cadres have been recruited from very poor homes. They have been given several classes to brain wash them to extent that ‘Elaam’ came first and life second.
These reports also state that once these cadres were selected, they were confined to an isolated location to keep them away from other LTTE cadres. These cadres have been well looked after and given food of their choice until they were sent on their missions.
Pottu Amman has brain washed these cadres saying that Velupillai Prabhakaran was a unique man in the Tamil history who will create a separate state to Tamils and it was a privilege for those cadres to sacrifice their life for a cause that Prabhakaran espoused for the Tamil people. The final class had been conducted at a secret location in Wanni where Prabhakaran had been present.
Pottu Amman at that point had announced that every one of the suicide cadres will enjoy the rare privilege of having a ‘Last Supper’ (last meal)with the LTTE leader before they were sent on their mission.
Accordingly, many of those suicide cadres who embarked upon suicide missions had enjoyed their last meal with Prabhakaran.
