Second sandwich hurled at: PM Julia Gillard!
Prime Minister Gillard has had another sandwich thrown at her during a school visit to Lyneham High school in Canberra.
The PM was mobbed by students at Lyneham High School to announce the ACT government has signed up to her Gonski school reforms.
The sandwich, thought to be salami on white bread, was hurled at the PM as she visited a Canberra school just before big lunch this afternoon.
It's believed the sandwich made contact with the PM, brushing her on the back and landing at her feet.
"They must have thought I was hungry," Ms Gillard said...
Exhibiting the steely determination that has been a hallmark of her time in The Lodge, Ms Gillard brushed off the incident to complete a press conference, and question and answer session with the students.
Earlier this month a student threw a Vegemite sandwich at the PM as she visited Marsden High school near Logan in South-east Queensland.
Kyle Thomson, 16, was suspended over the incident despite his insistence he had been wrongly accused. Kyle claimed he had tried to knock the sandwich from another student's hand.
