The 46th Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General N.A.J.C
Dias WWV RWP RSP USP ndc, assumed duties on Friday (15) morning in a
simple ceremony at the Army Headquarters.
A brief religious ceremony, invoked blessings on the new appointment before Major General Dias formally signed a document to signify the acceptance of the new office as the clock struck 8.43 a.m. this morning (15).
Major General E.M.M Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General B.A Perera, Director General General Staff, Major General Kamal Gunaratne, Master General Ordnance, Major General A.K.P Wickramasinghe, Director General Supply and Transport and several senior officers attended the occasion.....

Major
General N.A Jagath C Dias WWV RWP RSP USP ndc has been appointed as
the new Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army. Major General Dias who
counts over 35 years of military service is the 46th Chief of Staff
of the Army. He is currently serving as the Commander, Security
Force - Mullaittivu.
He joined the army in 1980 and was commissioned to
the 1 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment as a 2 Lieutenant in February
1982. Later he received an Inter Regimental transfer to Gajaba
Regiment (GR).
He is a recipient of Weera Wickrama Vibushanaya (WWV),
Rana Wickrama Padakkama (RWP), Rana Sura Padakkama (RSP) and the
Uttama Seva Padakkama (USP). He is also a graduate of the National
Defence College, India
