Secretary Defence visits the Republic of Sudan!:-சூடானின் உயர் இராணுவ கல்லூரிக்கு பாதுகாப்புச் செயலாளர் கோடாபய ராஜபக்ஷ விஜயம்!

இலங்கை::ராஜபக்ஷ அவர்கள் அந்நாட்டின் முக்கியதுவம் வாய்ந்த உயர் இராணுவதளங்கள் உட்பட பல இடங்கங்களுக்கு விஜயம் செய்துள்ளார்.

அந்தவகையில் சூடானின் உயர் இராணுவக் கல்லூரிக்கு பாதுகாப்புச் செயலாளர் விஜயமொன்றை மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார். இதன்போது அந்நாட்டு இராணுவ அதிகாரிகளால் பாதுகாப்புச் செயலாளருக்கு மிகுந்த வரவேற்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டதுடன், கல்லூரியும் சுற்றி காண்பிக்கப்பட்டது.

இவ் விஜயத்தில் சூடானின் சிரேஷ்ட இராணுவ அதிகாரிகளை சந்தித்து கலந்துரையாடியதுடன், நினைவுச் சின்னங்களும் பறிமாற்றப்பட்டன...

பாதுகாப்பு தொடர்பில் இலங்கை - சூடான் இடையே இருதரப்பு இணக்கப்பாடுகள் ஏற்படுத்திக் கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன.

சூடானுக்கு விஜயம் செய்துள்ள பாதுகாப்பு மற்றும் நகர அபிவிருத்தி அமைச்சின் செயலாளர் கோட்டாபய ராஜபக்ஷவிற்கும் சூடான் அதிகாரிகளுக்கும் இடையில் இது குறித்து உடன்படிக்கை கைச்சாத்திடப்பட்டுள்ளது.

கடந்த 26ம் திகதி தொடக்கம் 30ம் திகதி வரை சூடானுக்கான விஜயத்தை மேற்கொண்டிருந்த பாதுகாப்புச் செயலாளர் சூடான் பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சர், பிரதான பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளர், இராணுவ பிரதானி உள்ளிட்ட அதிகாரிகளை சந்தித்து பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தியிருந்தார்.

சூடான் பாதுகாப்பு கல்லூரிகளுக்குச் சென்ற பாதுகாப்பு செயலாளர், இலங்கை யுத்தத்தின் போது பெற்றுக் கொண்ட அனுபவங்களை பகிர்ந்து கொண்டுள்ளார்.

Secretary Defence visits the Republic of Sudan
The Secretary Defence and Urban Development Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa was in the Republic of Sudan on an official vist. (from 26th to 30th August 2012). During the visit the Secretary Defence visited a number of important institutions and military installations.

The Secretary Defence met with Defence Minister of Sudan H. E. Abdul Rahim Mohamed Hussain , Secretary General of Defence H. E. General Abdul Rahaman Mohamed Zain, Deputy Chief of Staff of Army General Emad Adawi and Chief of Joint Staff H. E. General Ismat Abdul Rahman. These meetings were centered on further consolidating and enhancing the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

The Secretary Defence also visited the prestigious military and academic institutes in Khartoum. These institutes were Joint Command and Staff College, Higher Military Academy, Military College, Engineering Faculty of Karary University.

The heads of the institutes highly appreciated the visits to their institutes by the Secretary Defence and expressed their desire to enhance scope of cooperation between Sudanese and Sri Lankan military training institutes for sharing expertise and knowledge.

While thanking the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and the delegation the Secretary Defence reiterated the desire and need for expanding close bilateral cooperation between training institutes for sharing and learning each other's experience and knowledge for mutual benefit.

Secretary Defence invited Sudanese delegations to visit Sri Lankan military training institutes for exploring further training opportunities. The Sudanese counterpart agreed to this suggestion for arranging such visits. The Secratary Defence took the opportunity to visit libraries and meet students at these training institutes.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Secretary Defence and Urban Development and the Secretary General of Sudanese Defence Ministry for promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of training.

At the renowned Defence College in Kartoum, the Secretary Defence delivered a lecture at the on the subject of "Sri Lankan Experience in Defeating Terrorism and Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Reconciliation". The Sudanese senior armed officials were impressed by the Secretary's lecture about the Sri Lankan experiences.

Officials from both nations expressed their satisfaction on the timely visit which marked an important juncture in relations between Sri Lanka and Sudan.
