Yasushi Akashi meets Secretary Defence!

Colombo;;Mr. Yasushi Akashi, Special Envoy of government of Japan paid a courtesy call on Secretary Defence and Urban Development, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksathis yesterday afternoon at the Ministry premises.

 

During the meeting, cordial discussions were held between Secretary Defence and Mr. Akashi on matters of relevance and mutual interest.

 

Japanese Ambassador in Sri Lanka Mr. Nobuhito Hobo and Sri Lankan Ambassador in Japan Admiral (Rtd.) Wasantha Karannagoda were also present during the meeting.

 

Mr. Akashi arrived in the country on Sunday on and will leave on Wednesday (11th December).
